ABOUT — DEVARIM MEDIA
A studio for the intellectually curious.
I What We Are
The Name: DEVARIM
Devarim means “Words” in Hebrew.
It is also the name for the Book of Deuteronomy in Hebrew.
Devarim Media is an independent media studio producing content at the intersection of faith, science, technology, theology, history, and philosophy.
II Our Approach
To wrestle with God.
Historical Context
Every text is read first in its own time, language and culture — before it is asked to speak to ours.
Philosophical Inquiry
We pursue questions on their own terms, letting argument lead and conclusions follow — not the reverse.
Biblical Scholarship
We engage the critical tools of the academy without surrendering the wonder of the subject.
Philosophy of Storytelling
We treat every subject as something to investigate, not something to affirm. Our films make room for complexity, ambiguity and discovery — for an idea to lead somewhere we did not expect. Scholarship, history and image meet on equal terms, and the inquiry, not the conclusion, sets the course.
Long-term Vision
To build a lasting archive: a growing body of films, writing and research exploring the ancient world — and what it still has to say to the modern mind.
